Pretty interesting stuff. Gov auctions off a bunch of random stuff from a warehouse on Hawthorne.

This has been a thing for over 50 years across the country. I scored an escalade for next to nothing back in 2019. I just had to clean up the excess contraband tobacco all over the carpet and then it was good to go.

Just before car/truck prices went full apocalypse. Good score.

Also. Does anyone know offhand a spot close to Paul Anka/McCarthy opening early Sunday? I know there is Riverside pub, Royal Oak and obviously Moose across the street which are handy locations. I could call around to see if open but if anyone knows I would appreciate a heads up.

I wish to complain about the pop-up ads on this site suddenly replacing the typing window resulting in accidental entering ad websites with no obvious exit back to the typing window. This has become particularly intrusive in the last few days.

I've had that problem for a few months. Annoying too when trying to navigate through different sections.

I'll see if I can ask someone about that.

Are you not using an ad/popup blocker? The uBlock extension/plugin works great for me in Firefox or Chrome... I never see ads while browsing.

I've had problems with the website harassing me when I use pop-up blockers, or even not letting me in.

I don't mind some ads to help fund the website, but this is too much.

I use my phone now. I have given up using my computer to work with this website.

Hmm.. thats funny. Using Google I cannot exit the you are using an ad blocker message whether or not I make an exception.

So I use Firefox to browse here, stream hockey games and torrenting. My VPN is tied to Firefox and everything works on for me.

Feel free to DM me if you want a great site for hockey.

After looking at the thread on the construction of the new Ottawa Civic Hospital, I got to thinking... perhaps once that project is done and operational, a partnership between all 3 tiers of government could come to fruition, to build a veterans hospital...like where the old NDMC is by Alta Vista and Valor drive? I say this, as many personnel who have recenlty, or will be released in the near future, are having a really hard time finding a doctor (a GP/Family one). I am one of those people. I was honourably discharged for medical reasons during the first week of September of last year. Here we are in nearly April, and I still can't find a doctor, or even a nurse practitioner that can work with me on medication renewals, as well as provide me with a clean bill of health that would enable my employability with the public service.

Do any of you agree that Ontario Health, the Ottawa Hospital and VAC should be working together to create a hospital for veterans?

Is the Canadian Forces Health Services Centre at the Montfort Hospital not sufficient? Maybe it isn't... I have no idea.

I always assumed they shut down the one at Alta Vista when the one at Montfort opened, which possibly has a smaller footprint.

In general I agree VAC should do far more to support Veterans, and either expanding the Montfort wing or a new hospital would be beneficial.

I've never been military, so I don't know how the system works.

Sutcliffe has been posting pictures on social media everyday with the caption "Good Morning Ottawa/Bonjour Ottawa" with just the most depressing hellscapes since, I don't know, a few years. It got picked up by the news this week.

https://ottawacitizen.com/news/ottawa-hellscape-ottawa-mayor-photo

Since then, he's been putting a little more effort into his pictures, like this morning.

In my travels around town yesterday I realized the Osgoode Properties logo is a little more accurate now as we are the proud owner of a building(s) with an angled roof.
