If I posted about this in a wider section people would lose their minds, but I think in a lot of ways YHZ has better flight options than here, mostly just because of geography.

This is a Pacific gateway with direct flights to Asia, which are great, but they are very long simply due to how huge the Pacific is. In Halifax you have great destinations around the US, Caribbean/Mexico, and Europe that aren't nearly as far or as jetlag inducing. A 6 hour flight to Madrid is actually pretty manageable and not much worse than flying from here to Toronto.
