You're right! I forgot about that.

I'm sure MID considers this a land bank however. It is land being held for future development, decades in the future.

Right now, they have just opened the Harrisville Logistics Park for development. There is a major expansion planned for the MID West Industrial Park. These alone will likely require 20 years or so to build out. It will be a long, long time before we see any MID activity north of the TCH.

I didn't post on this earlier, but city council held a public hearing regarding the Vision Lands secondary plan last week and subsequently gave final approval to the plan.

What does this mean for the Vision Lands project?

In the short term - diddly squat.

The plan remains largely aspirational and large sums of money will need to be marshalled (with federal and provincial support) before basic infrastructure is built which would allow the development of the Vision Lands to proceed.

I noticed the land where the 4x6 storeys were approved is for sale on Leopold F. Belliveau. This land is right on the side of the Vision Lands.
