Austin Breaks Ground for 208 Affordable Homes in Districts 3 and 4: Bailey at Berkman and Bailey at Stassney

AUSTIN, TX – Austin Housing and the Austin Housing Finance Corporation celebrate the groundbreaking of Bailey at Berkman and Bailey at Stassney, totaling 208 new affordable rental housing units in Districts 3 and 4 in Austin. Both sites will be developed by National CORE with partner Diva Imaging LLC and consultant Structure Development.
Bailey at Stassney, a 104-unit affordable rental housing community located at 5516 Humming Bird Lane in District 3, will offer studio and one-bedroom apartments to households earning 30%, 50%, and 60% the median family income (MFI).

Twenty-six apartments will be designated as Continuum of Care (CoC) units for residents who have experienced homelessness or were at risk of becoming homeless, individuals with physical, intellectual, or developmental disabilities, youths aging out of foster care, people transitioning out of institutionalized care, and individuals unable to secure permanent housing elsewhere due to high barriers.
Anticipated completion date is Summer 2027.
