With some help from Sam Austin I managed to grease the wheels of HRM bureaucracy and got a landfall of Construction Management Plans added to their website.

CMP - 40 Ochterlonely Street, Dartmouth

The rendering is out-of-date and based on the original 10-storey version. That said it looks significantly better than the version that was posted above (now removed). I'm optimistic that this will end up being similar in quality to the other towers going up around town.

HRM has updated the CMP to the current version. This one includes some black & white renderings and more details;

CMP Revised - 10 Edward Street, Dartmouth

The crane information has the building height listed as 94m from Ochterlonely Street.

This is going very slow, looks much like the pic, there are some columns on the concrete pad, but still all that rock to clear out around it, they were jack hammering some of this the other day.

The renderings are pretty low detail but it is nice that the era of stubby buildings is ending in Halifax.

They have Ochterloney closed today, and were doing some work with a skid-steer style forklift in front of the site. Maybe putting in sidewalk hoarding in anticipation of starting to build above grade?

I could hear the cries of anguish of Gloria McCluskey here at the other end of the country as she psychically felt this injustice being posted on the internet.

Given my SSP “identity”, I couldn’t let it slide, as much as I wanted to.

It appears they've added a couple of new shipping containers of supplies, or tools for the crews. One appears to be branded by some formwork company I wasn't familiar with.

I think that it might be awhile before they get anywhere near grade level.

Sivret is the name. Seems to be a formwork company out of New Brunswick.

The *exact* same thing happened to me yesterday when I walked by it.

Not great.
