That is a cool project. Did they also purchase the house next door? Rendering seems to suggest it's part of the project as a small heritage preservation effort.

Love it! The scale, the design, red brick and black accents which tie in nicely with Centretown, terraces & that top overhang, wow.

Nice renderings from Project1 Studio. P2 Concepts has also created plans for this site. I'll wait for an actual development application before getting my hopes up.

^ Looks like those renderings are for a project on MacArthur. Their Lisgar project has a similar massing and is dated 2020, so fingers crossed that the Project1 design will be the one submitted!

The docs are up...


230 Lisgar Street Inc. is proposing to be redevelop the site at 230-232 Lisgar Street with a nine (9) storey mid-rise apartment building with a total of 49 units; 36 one-bedroom units and 13 two-bedroom units. The existing buildings are proposed to be demolished as part of the redevelopment.

Parking for 22 residential spaces and four (4) visitor spaces is located below grade in two underground parking levels and accessible by a car elevator at the northeast corner of the proposed development. A bicycle parking room with 43 spaces will be located on the proposed development’s ground floor.

Don't worry! The renderings at the top of this thread are still the current ones of the front of the building.

Could be the first phase of this project finally getting built
