[Saint John, NB] | Municipal Election | Mayoral Election & Council At Large

Who would you like to see become Saint John's next mayor and councillors at large?

(Multiple votes are allowed on this poll)

If a mod could fix Balazs Lajtha's name on the poll, it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry, Balazs!

Question Candidates at Large Forum

Video Link

Boo to the Human Development Council of Saint John for not allowing playback on external websites, but at least good on them for hosting these "forums" in the first place... Also, good on them for keeping their YouTube comment section open!

Haven't watched this one in full yet, but do intend to finish it.

Based on what I've heard from the candidates so far, I will be voting for Gerald Irish and Balazs Lajtha for councillors at large... we need to see a change on council, not more of the same.

I think Sullivan has been on council for nearly two decades? Sounds like the very definition of "more of the same" to me. I've always found him to be one of the more reasonable members of council, and I may be open to voting for him still, but I'm not sure he would fight for real change nearly as much as Gerry or Lajtha would. Also, if the man can't even sell enough tickets to that ridiculous men only St. Patrick's Day dinner, in "Canada's Most Irish City", is he really an adaptable, capable leader deserving to remain on council?

Donna Reardon (Incumbent) retains the Mayor's chair, while H. Gary Sullivan (Incumbent) & Gina Cooley win the At-Large polls.
