The amount of development in NYC that's about to start is unparalleled.

175 and 350 Park and 2 WTC;

Something substantial at Penn; and

Hopefully, the platform over the western half of the HY, let alone tons of 800' to 1,200' towers!

This is going to be magnificent!

Big boom in store. The amount of development also in the outer boroughs would suprise folks along with everything in the metro area. Even New Brunswick is going to suprise folks. Development galore.

Other cities are merely solar systems... we are the galaxy!

I think we are just getting started too. With sky-high rents, the supply need is dire and a lot of things are going to rise to meet that demand, a lot!

I was a young boy on 9/11. I was afraid to go outside- and was afraid of airplanes for years.

I have been following NYC for a bit now, and the highlight of my life has been seeing the World Trade Center rise from the ashes.

With all its power and might- New York City has roared back.

It is, by far, the greatest, richest, most cosmopolitan City in the history of the world.

God willing, these towers will stand for thousands of years like the steeples of Europe.

America!

The sheer speed to the New York City construction boom – with so many skyscrapers going and being planned to go up – makes this feel more than just development, it feels like the creation of a new lasting EPOCH!

No, that's the original rebar. They were capped with covers when the construction unfortunately stopped

It's a good thing all those people were dead wrong about scaring away business, developers, and the wealthy when the new mayor came along. Balanced budgets, programs for the people AND the boom keeps rising.

Definitely not the apocalype we were promised!

People have been predicting (anticipating) the downfall of NYC for decades. Because 1. They're idiots and 2. They don't understand the city or its function. You would think they would know better by now, but every generation has its fools I guess.

Anyway, it's great that not only is this tower rising, but it's a headquarters tower and one located Downtown.

Both 270 Park Avenue and 2 World Trade center seem pretty extraordinary in that they are entirely owned and occupied by single tenants. And they each take up an entire city block respectively. And they're supertalls. That just pretty much doesn't seem to happen anywhere else. Once again, Jamie Dimon proves to be a trend setter, 350 Park could maybe also end up being 100% Citadel.

I hope this spurs more momentum downtown. Sucks that Midtown is getting all the action. Expansion towards Canal, northward would be ideal.

New York is seeing strong class A demand, but 2 WTC and 270 Park seem to be the first class A+ towers. Maybe they should trademark that

Honestly with 2 wtc finishing I can't really see any other major projects in downtown, at least in the near term. But who knows, it's still new York after all

As the first major post pandemic tower, One Vanderbilt is the ultimate. The others are just catching up. However, Related is seeking to push beyond “Class A” with 625 Madison.

This tower is going to be gorgeous, and I suspect that the lighting on the crown will be spectacular.

That is not a crown, that's a square cube, pun intended.
