Bunkers?

Is Jenica Atwin the front runner then? If she still has a lot of connections in the Liberal Party, her floor crossing could be quite the benefit for Freddy in terms of lobbying for federal funding and support.

Hard to say.

Anecdotally, many seem to think Steve Hicks is going to win decisively.

Obviously, this poll is anything but scientific or truly representative for the actual election outcome, but I am hoping for a close race.

I would like to see the FREX grounds/racetrack developed. Steve was the sole dissenting vote against expropriation, and the FREX/racetrack supporters seem to think he's one of them.

I also think his wife running as councilor for his current seat is an odd decision while Steve is running for mayor.

I suspect that Hicks voted against things like the NBEX expropriation and the four-unit zoning to build political capital for his mayoral run. Then he runs on "change" despite being against the things that actually bring about change.

It's also never a great look when many of your campaign signs are in front of rental properties.

Interesting feedback; I haven't looked deep in either option yet (heard about our "third" option from a coworker ); but with the feedback here, I think my decision has been made now. Doubt it will make a huge difference in the end.

So are Hicks or Atwin considered the front runner? The Fredericton race sounds like it could be close!

Almost 400 views and 10 votes in the poll.

I was hoping for more engagement, but the F'ton board is pretty quiet with the same dozen posters providing most of the content...

Here's to a good turnout for the municipal elections!

I really don't think there's a clear frontrunner.
