Niagara College brews some of the best hard apple cider I've ever had. A close 2nd is KW Craft Cider (Dry) from Kitchener-Waterloo.

NC has won numerous medals at the U.S. Open Cider Championship. Since it debuted at the College’s Teaching Winery in 2015, Cider 101 – its first cider release – has won four gold medals at the U.S. Open. In 2021, it became the first cider in the history of the competition to achieve four gold medals.

For Alberta, Olds College has a 2 year brewing program IIRC.

It looks like Consignaction is going to expand and the grocery store can collection machines are going to be phased out.

I think the grocery stores are pretty happy with this. Those machines fill up hourly and stink like the bar I used to go to when I was 18. Sometimes I would see people with 4 carts full of garbage bags loading them up. Some stores were enforcing a strict '2 garbage bag rule' at a time because of the lineups. With a 10 cent deposit, a bag of cans and plastic bottles could net someone 10 bucks easily.
