I last visited Lisbon all the way back in 2008. I had 2 photo threads at the time - part 1 and part 2. It was an amazing trip, and there was enough to fill up almost a week of intense walking. Many years later, I re-edited some of the photos and changed my website's gallery format and longed to return.
I had this chance in 2025, although this time, I was only transiting en route to the Azores. On the way out, I was lucky to have scored wonderful aerial views of Lisbon. We took off towards the south over Belem and looped around to continue to London under brilliant sunshine. Enjoy!
You can see the central city in this picture, in the upper right near the boats. You can clearly make out Lisbon's central square, the Praça do Comércio, as a grey concrete diamond/square immediately up against the water.
