While taking drone footage of Highbury I spun the drone around to take a shot of whatever is going on over here. Doesn't look like much from the air, but they are doing work here. Looks like some foundation poured along the Ashland Ave side of the property.

Work continues on forming and pouring the L1 foundation walls for the new LTC Home. Probably start seeing the L1 floor slab pours in another month. The old factory building is an epic eyesore and disaster waiting to happen. Would be really nice if Sierra Construction would actually move ahead with the redevelopment or sell it off to a developer who will. The new connector road on the north side has not seen any work in months and is just dirt with the new sewer lines and utilities installed. Why they haven't finished is a mystery.

Have started forming for the ground floor slab along the east side of this future LTC home. Still nothing on the factory building itself as more and more of the windows are being broken out and smashed by vandals. It's starting to look like the worst of urban wasteland Detroit.

City has done nothing with the extension of the street along the north end of the property either.

They have now poured the ground floor slab in the SE corner. Have started installing structural steel posts and prefab steel wall module panels for the ground floor walls.

Have poured some of the 2nd floor slab on the LTC building now as they continue to install steel modular wall panel units to build the structure. These appear much more robust then the wall panels used by Drewlo on their many low rise apartments.

Still no progress on the new road extension along the north side or on the factory building as Sierra Construction doesn't seem to have any plan for the factory. It's looking more and more like the factory will be seeing the wrecking ball in its future.

Starting to make progress installing the 3rd floor modular steel wall panels along the east side of the LTC home. Pace has noticeably slowed in recent months.

Roofing contractor has started prep on installing the roof on the LTC home. Window units continue to be installed and exterior insulation on the walls ahead of masonry contractor starting.

Windows are now installed and appears that the roofing contractor has made a lot of progress on installing the roof now on the new LTC home. Sierra Construction has done nothing with the old McCormick factory building which continues to rot away with most of the windows now broken out.

Meanwhile nothing but crickets from Sierra Construction.

Interesting article. I wonder what that 3cent token for the cafeteria would buy back in the day? Maybe a sandwich?
