I still contend that the Austin MSA will surpass the population of the San Antonio MSA between 2034 & 2036. Both metros will be in the ballpark of 3.4 million when this happens.
The city of Austin is a LONG WAY off in surpassing the city of San Antonio in population.
There is a chance one or a combo of Burnet, Lee and Milan counties being added to Austin's MSA in the 2030 Census.
