Been away for a month and I've noticed -

- Aylmer Kia is starting their new building
- Construction equipment busy at the SE corner of Vanier/Plateau, and it looks like they are ripping up those RIRO outlets on Vanier.
- Condos at the Eardley/Allumettières intersection are at grade.
- Vill condos parking garage progressing
- library on principale seems to have somewhat progressed? Ass end seems to have cladding now. Still moving slow.

Update! (August 16, 2025)
🕘 The start-up meeting between the entrepreneur and the city administration took place this week. Work will start on September 2. (may vary from a few days depending on temperature)
👉🏼 As soon as I have the details of the order of the sections that will be made, as well as the planned temporary arrangements, I will share them here.
🚴 I confirm that there will be a crossing at the Eastern/Lucerne corner with rectangular lights with fast flashing in order to safely cross to the cycle path. A paved path to connect the crossing to the Voyager's Path will also be built.

On the contrary; I'm gonna be using "bonification" from now on!

There is a billboard up on du Plateau now for this project - Zénith

760 units, 715 000 sq ft of space

https://gerik.ca/projets/zenith/

On the website it says construction starts in 2026. They are already ripping up the road in front and have cleared some terrain.

NOTICE TO READERS

The SSP site has been experiencing slower database access times recently, as threads become longer. In an effort to mitigate this, long (10,000+ posts) threads are being closed and replacement threads are being started.

So far this has only occurred within the Ottawa-Gatineau subforum with the following threads, but more will be shifted as needed.
  • Confederation Line (Stage 1) | In Service
  • Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW/CYOW)

Please continue to post in the newly opened threads.

Thanks!
