True, although there are also a fair number of buildings that had plants like this at one point, which have since died off and been forgotten about (either due to the plant choices/lack of care/etc.). The JW Marriott is one such.

I'm hopeful Paseo will be another exception like 70 Rainey (which has been far and away the best in terms of this type of landscaping IMO).
