I decided to make a thread for general discussion about goings on in Alabama, especially for the places that don't have a local thread or things that have happened that are more statewide in their impact.
For our first post, I found it worth mentioning that Sen. Tuberville (bletch) and Rep. Mike Rogers are pushing a bill through to expand the Talladega National Forest by around 50,000 acres. You wouldn't know it, but Alabama has a relatively low amount of protected lands (we rank 43rd), so this is welcome news to me!
