According to earlier posts, the Fleetwood Flyer Gantry was suppose to move West from Bakerview Station. But in posted videos it appears to be moving East. Does anyone know why? Do they have the plans upside down?

Surrey Sprinter is also moving east.
Perhaps they build a few segments east of the station so that the gantries ending there do not need to enter the station proper for disassembly, allowing the station construction to proceed sooner.

I'm not sure how those beams will be supported once the falsework is removed.
Maybe suspended with hangers from above (there seems to be metal on the underside of the 'T')?
Weird that the longitudinal member connects under the beam extending from the column.

Construction of the Green Timbers Station mezzanine level is underway!
The mezzanine will be the floor in between the station’s ground floor and platform level.
Here, crews are installing concrete beams, which will be the main structural support for the mezzanine.

That looks to be the case, hung from above.
The longitudinal member would be the one hung with the transverse then supported on eigther side.

Fraser Hwy closure extended to mid December, won't be ready for the end of October as evidenced above!

It appears you are correct. The gantry is now moving West.

I can't believe 5 years from construction start to opening day. Why is construction slower then previous Skytrain construction?

It isn't slower, but it will take longer. The Evergreen Line is 10.9km, started construction in February 2013, and completed in December 2016.

Surrey Langley Skytrain is 16km. Construction started in 2024, and is anticipated to complete in 2029.

I have a photo of the final guideway segment being installed on the Millenium Line next to Bridge Studios near Boundary Road. It was taken on February 2, 2001 and the line opened almost exactly 11 months later on January 6 2002. So that may give you a ballpark idea of how long you can expect to wait after the guideway is completed.

Phase 1 of the Expo Line was 21.4 Km's, and took less than 3 years to build, according to Wikipedia.

The Langley extension has a lot more open space to work with, and is shorter than the original Expo line, so it's a good question as to why it would take 5 years to build 16 km's of elevated Skytrain.

Likely related to poor soil conditions? Expo was built on top of an existng rail RoW in generally good soil conditions (outside of the demo section at Terminal Ave.).

The Langley extension is generally in not such great stuff along most of the alignment.

Still less time and money than Eglinton, and possibly opening sooner... which isn't a very high bar, but the fact remains that we could always be worse.

Also having to built to current earthquake standards.

Though I suspect it has mostly to do with cost, particularly labour. Law of diminishing returns and all that.

It would be interesting to compare the average number of workers on a given building the Expo Line to the current projects.
