I don’t know how anyone can look at that picture and think “Yeah, these dumpy stick frame houses in the core of downtown need to be protected. We should vote against high rises residential buildings that bring people and business to our downtown.”
Quartier Musée is a fake manufactured neighborhood name. The museum didn’t even exist until 1989. It was a factory neighbourhood with old homes with little to no architectural value that should be replaced. Yet the city fights to keep this area low density and outdated. Gatineau is not a serious city.
