I assume you were only joking in your comment, based upon the "lol", but watching people drive and blow through stale yellows and reds makes me believe that most people don't have a clue when they are behind the wheel. Another argument for an efficient and convenient LRT system, to get some of these people off the roads.

The intersection being discussed is a good application for a roundabout, IMHO.
You can be observant and drive defensibly without slowing down to a crawl several meters back from an intersection on a green. I do agree with you on the blow through on a yellow.
