This is part of why I'm hoping the get a major office tenant. The restaurants will rely in part on office workers/clients dining there.

Opened up on William's St and interestingly they added a bike lane (from/to nowhere). Guess there is a long term plan for a separate bike lane but it will require a lot of work and not sure there is enough space to acquire.

^It will connect into the 10th street cycle track (Midtown Alliance project which is funded and includes infrastructure on both Williams and Techwood) and the GA tech cycle track expansions.

"Improvements include the creation of a protected two-way bikeway on 10th Street to link up the planned 10th Street multi-use path west of the Connector; a protected two-way bikeway on Williams Street to connect to planned bike facilities on Peachtree Place to the south and 12th Street to the north...."
See slides 78-80 of the bid document. The photo you posted is of the "construction to be completed by others" section on slide 79.

Yeah… Julien I’m noting that Portman cycle track was delivered in conjunction with the 10th St / Williams cycle track shivtim mentioned, notice to proceed was issues 10/1, and construction on the rest of the project is said to be imminent.

I get wanting to be critical, speculate, and be informed on everything going on (there is a lot going on), but please try to avoid posting completely inaccurate information.

^I don't think it's that serious many people just aren't aware of the cycle track plans in this area. Exciting to see them come together!

Here is the hotel to the south. Not obvious how it would fit.

^Williams will be reduced to two lanes for that short stretch. Check slides 78-80 of the document I posted above. It has all the engineering specifics.

Hopefully, we get some news soon on the next phase since Sora is leasing so well.

Wouldn’t mind Portman revisiting the proposed hotel… perhaps to include more residences or a towery to compete with the Rockefeller tower.

Seriously. Build more residential. They had such an easy time getting Sora filled out, it seems like a no-brainer.

I think that commercial tower is going to be a drag on their finances until they can get it leased out and sold. They may still have a construction loan on the commercial tower and it is going to be a big drag if they can’t get it refinanced, which I believe they usually do when the tower is mostly filled up. Perhaps someone in the industry has better insight.

Most likely right. I really hope they can land a decent tenant or two to fill this tower up and sell it off to someone.
