And yeah let's put the missions in Lot A. I think there's around room.
I think the biggest problem would be having enough room for the giant loading docks/staging areas of Alamodome which are on that side (which is where I met William Shatner by accident at a comic con looong ago). UIL is having their Marching Band State Championship this weekend and all of their trailers are parked right there, but I suppose they could just as easily relocate to the other lots and just have to carry their instrument cases for a little longer lol, but other than that I'm sure it could fit

It is a pretty great view of the Tower from this area, and of the soon-to-be-announced Hemisfair Arena.

One of the most "overlooked" destinations.

“‘After living in Wyoming for two years, I was over the cold, and I've never lived in a big city,’ 30 year old Elizabeth Bagdon from Pennsylvania said. ‘I've always wanted to live near the beach, so I felt like it was completing something I've always wanted to do.’ Now she can’t wait to go back.”

Is she talking about Houston? Maybe skip the beach and go to Dallas? Nope. San Antonio.

My family would occasionally go eat at the Old San Francisco Steak House when I was a kid. I was feeling nostalgic and did a search. I found this. Nice.

Faith, pain and danger: See the art of late Texan Michael Tracy in San Antonio

The online version of the Austin paper has a very interesting piece on an art exhibit at the McNay Art Museum, 6000 North New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio.
Here is some of that articel:
Faith, pain and danger: See the art of late Texan Michael Tracy in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO — Has there ever been another Texas artist like the recently deceased Michael Tracy?

The sculptor, painter and maker of rare objects — as well as sometime magus who oversaw fantastically staged rituals — lived his life as an expansive art project, especially since 1978, when he established sprawling studios and residences in tiny San Ygnacio, Texas, on the U.S.-Mexico border.

"He was big, much bigger than life," says retired graphic artist Lorne Loganbill, who got to know and admire Tracy during the 1990s. "His art was big, his opinions were big, his passions were big. His studios and living spaces were full of sights, sounds and smells that were overpowering, earthy and exciting. Art, religious iconography and crumbling relics of different cultures accented his panels, canvases, bronzes and over-sized mesquite furniture, and created a warm and welcoming environment — with an edge of danger."

We'll get back to that "edge of danger" soon.

More to do in San Antonio: Do visit the Pearl District, a jewel among the city's tourist sites
Now admirers and detractors, veterans and rookies alike can experience a slice of Tracy's visions through "Michael Tracy: The Elegy of Distance," a right-sized exhibit at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio through July 27.

I was driving around and saw construction had started on this “missing middle” development. San Antonio needs more of this. I think it was an old gas station that will now house a commercial space and is surrounded by a 2 story probably 10/12 unit apartment building. I hope it’s somewhat affordable vs all the mega apartments around downtown.

Nothing at all todo with skyscrapers.....

This has nothing todo with skyscrapers but is sorta a good chamber of commerce story:
This Southern Grocery Store Was Just Named The Best In The Nation

https://www.southernliving.com/heb-best-srocery-store-dunnhumbys-annual-retailer-preference-index-11889754

The next time you head to H-E-B to load up on Whataburger sauce, H-E-B Carolina Reaper Cheese Puffs, and a ready-made meal, you might want to congratulate the staff—and yourself—for shopping at America’s favorite grocery store.

In a new national survey, H-E-B once again took first place for the best grocery store in the country. This is the fourth year in a row that H-E-B has come out on top of Dunnhumby’s annual Retailer Preference Index.

Dunnhumby is a customer data science company that has published its Retailer Preference Index (RPI) annually since 2017. To figure out where folks love to buy groceries and why, they analyzed customer and financial data for the 81 largest supermarket, discount, superstore, club, and online banners in the U.S. They then looked at customer data, value proposition, financial data, market share, and more.

This year’s top 10 grocery retailers, according to Dunnhumby’s Index, are H-E-B, Market Basket, Woodman’s, Costco, Aldi, WinCo Foods, Trader Joe’s, Amazon, Wegmans, and ShopRite. While H-E-B is one of the greatest Texas exports, Costco, Trader Joe’s, and ALDI are all favorites across the South, too.

The popularity of H-E-B is no surprise to Texans who love the chain for its beloved in-house products, including freshly made tortillas, Tex-Mex Brisket Queso Dip, That Green Sauce, and their party shortcut guacamole. Their products are just another way that the grocery chain lives up to its slogan, “Here, everything’s better.”
