That’s a big reason why they filmed the first few seasons of the TV series “Homeland” in Charlotte. They needed a city that had similar looks as D.C. surrounding area, while taking advantage of the generous Film & TV tax incentives that North Carolina used to offer to productions.

Are there other high rises over there yet? I know south end has them but not familiar with midtown having any.

This will be the tallest tower in that particular area. The closest high-rise development would be The Pearl/Wake Forest School of Medicine a few blocks away on Morehead & S McDowell.
