FYI: A colleague of mine spotted a soil testing rig at Riverline yesterday. I'll take a look today while at work.

I believe I saw this too!

To be clear, I saw equipment on the Riverline/CMK stretch of the original proposal (ie. south of the River City), not the Southbank/Lendlease stretch.

I wonder if this is for the long-promised Taylor Street bridge, or for a private development?

Thanks for the photos, I was able to find a permit associated with the site. It's for a highrise at 1010 S Wells. I posted the details in the Riverline thread: https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/sho...221826&page=48

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but Urbanize Chicago has launched an interactive 3D map of the entire city showing construction projects that are color coded by where they are in the process of being completed (from planned, approved, u/c, and recently completed). I have been playing with it all morning instead of doing actual work, hah. Check it out:

1201 W. Fulton and 1200 W. Fulton will break ground in 2024 and 2025, respectively, according to CoStar News.

Fulton St. is now eyeing a late 2024 kickoff of a 34-story, 433-unit apartment building at 1201 W. Fulton, Najem told CoStar News. He said the group of developers hopes to start building the first of two approximately 30-story towers on the 1200 W. Fulton site by sometime in 2025. Those towers will have about 850 units combined.

With the additions of 1200, 1201, and 1245 W Fulton, that single block will have ~1650 units!

And at 1.5 people per unit average, that's almost 2500 people on one city block. Its not an overstatement to say that there are Chicago suburbs that would have fewer people than that one singular city block!

That's also assuming if they get built 100% occupancy.

Come to think of it what is the residential occupancy rate for Fulton Market?
