From a purely technical standpoint, Tesla's solution is intentionally handicapped for no rational reason besides perhaps cost cutting. They've intentionally decided to
not use sensors that everyone else uses and instead rely only on cameras. It's only expected that Tesla's are going to have worse autonomous driving than other providers that don't have the same self imposed handicaps.
