I definitely agree that the billboards are an eyesore and we should be moving toward lowering their impact instead of expanding their protections. At the very least, I don't think the state should be telling local governments what they can and can't do with regards to billboard regulations.

Yeah I was going to make a post there, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I'm hoping that BSL will make a post about it. Taylor Anderson's note about it in City Weekly is what brought my attention to it in the first place.
