Now complete $105M senior living Portland development earns 'passive house' distinction
Senior living community Terwilliger Plaza has finished its $105 million Parkview expansion, which began construction in 2021.
The 10-story, 370,000-square-foot structure is made of concrete, connecting to the Terwilliger Plaza campus thanks to a new skybridge. It adds 127 apartments to Terwilliger Plaza, according to LRS Architects, which designed Parkview.
The expansion, unveiled in 2019, was originally scheduled for completion in 2022 but hit a series of delays.
Ryan Miller, President and CEO at Terwilliger Plaza, said in a recent press release, "The Parkview expansion and the iconic sky bridge is a point of pride for the Terwilliger Plaza community, a credit to Portland’s commitment to the environment and its senior population, challenging pre-conceived notions of senior living, and taking a leadership position in the senior living industry,"
