Alright folks and there you have it. One World Trade Center is the tallest building in New York (1,254' 2" plus the splices), but they still have to surpass the 1,454 foot mark to fully surpass the Empire State Building's pinnacle height. In all this is a great day for New York.

This calls for a party!kiss:iagree:

Finally 1 WTC is the tallest building in New York City. All we need to do now is go above The Trump and the Sears to regain the title of tallest building in the USA. This is a great day indeed. No turning back now. The Skyline has finally been restored!

Lol I think we've already passed the trump by almost a 100ft. 1,170 is the roof, 1,389 spire so the communications ring should pass that

Those columns went up way quicker than i thought they would've, and they're huge, but anyways this is a great day for NY to finally have this as the tallest is probably the biggest milestone it'll reach till it passes the sears for tallest in the US.

Tishman folks today when I asked said these columns are 1244'4" above the lobby level, a few feet above the 100Th floor. So on the next tier of steel we will blow past ESB.

Thanks for the info Alan. I was hoping those columns did surpass 1,250' but I wasn't sure myself. Hey in my eyes Tower One is already the tallest so it's only less than 6' feet short of the ESB.

I guess I started the party too early. Well then, this tower will still be the tallest in the city come April though.
