Egestorf is a small, rural municipality in the district of Harburg. Most municipal services are covered by the greater municipality of Hanstedt, which includes the municipalities of Asendorf, Brackel, Egestorf, Hanstedt, Marxen, and Undeloh. It is located just east of Bundesautobahn 7.
