Singapore photo sling

Possibly my new favorite skyline. So much greenery and so lively. Jewel Changi is truly awe inspiring if one doesn’t have time to visit the city. (Landside though).

Out of all the cities I haven’t yet visited, Singapore is #1 on my list.

How was your experience, beyond “favorite skyline”?

Thanks for sharing!

i can say we loved hanging out in the neighborhoods, they are very different and colorful and its easy to do. downtown, gardens by the bay, sentosa, botanic, har paw, barracks, changi village and more are all touristic areas and easy to visit.

of course its a perfect jumping off point to visit other sea states too if you have time.

as for the boring reputation, well umm no not for us. got chased by an 800lb wild boar family on pulao ubin island. yeah that was an eye opener. even more so was the final night. we decided to check out and leave our bags at the hotel and just hang out at discos all night before heading to the airport. encouraged not to go in but went into a popular place where we were like oh wow look its a beauty contest on stage, weird, but ok nice. gradually realize they were auctioning off filipina slaves. got home and found out singapore has a huge housework slave labor population. yikes.

People talk all about how Singapore is boring but I really disagree. Sure, it doesn’t have the dirtiness and chaos of KL up the Malay Peninsula, but it really has everything a city lover could possibly want, in a spectacular setting.

I’d love to go back just to see all of the new crazy architecture.
