Man I like this building. Didn't think I would from the renders but I think it's turning out great.... Even with the gold star, haha. Big fan of the architectural style in Melbourne.

I get what you're saying about the gold growth in the middle RobEss, without it would for sure be sleeker, but not as iconic. This will be one of those buildings that you won't see anywhere else in the world and makes your skyline that much better because of it.

Good god when this bubble pops

I listen to alternative financial analysis often and I have heard many smart people say the four biggest real estate bubbles in world are Toronto, Vancouver, Syndey, and Melbourne. I haven't seen pics of the city in a while but wow now I really understand what they are saying. Just hold on tight Tays, when the financial engineering keeping this global economy going finally runs out and the can can't be kicked down the road any longer hold on tight my friend.

This thing looks like one of those funky 90s-early 00s chinese supertalls. The dark blue glass and the protruding gold-colored glass section give this building a really funky vibe, for better or worse.

Good lord that's ugly!
I guess this was designed from the inside out of what I assume is an amenity level?

Any smoke filled photos of this tower for the New Year? You all need a break from the fires.

^ not many. Most people on SSC have completely wound down... From the Friday before Christmas through to the end of January: our summer school holidays. All union sites are shut for three or so weeks over the Christmas/New Year period... and the lack of activity leads to less photos.

Union sites were back last week (long after the smoke has gone).

That gold starburst really detracts from the building IMHO.

I completely agree.

No offence intended for our Melbourne friends of SSC but I don't like this tower and much of it is due to those awkward gold coloured chunks sticking out from the building.

I don't hate it. Plays off of Eureka Tower's gold top, which symbolized some of the region's history, if I recall correctly.

I didn't like it to start, but I'm liking it now.

Like most others here, I like this building minus the yellow part in the middle. Cool concept but not really executed well.

It really doesn't look good. I don't know what they were thinking.

The gold part looks like some temporary construction dock
