There may come a time when I refer to it as the Greater Burnaby Region due to this.

Regarding Toronto's domination here: I would enjoy a top 3 UC per province thread. Top can either be by height, by dollar value, or architectural quality; whichever is more appropriate for the province (as determined b the person willing to do the photos). We could add a guideline that it should not include buildings in the Top 10 UC by height thread (this one) or that Ontario's 3 should be non-GTA.

If I didn't know Toronto I'd have thought this picture were a Photoshopped collage. Cool shot.

Forming the SkyTower swimming pool. This podium looks much taller than the renderings to my eye. Apparently a base is in place for a third crane now. The core for the first tower floor is formed up.

With CIBC Square Phase 2 rising, thought it was worth another look at the diamond magic of Phase 1 (from last year).

That's a big podium. China or South Korea vibes 'cept it's residential and parking than commercial or mixed (not counting the requisite ground floor retail shacks.)

Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | a—A (+ KPF) l u/c

There’s been much discussion about whether architects KPF are still affiliated with Concord Sky but the ‘new’ design has been updated on their website renderings… so I guess they haven’t been formally divorced.
There has also been rumours about Concord requesting additional floors which if true, would push the tower beyond the (silly) 299 metre height into super-tall status.

Epic wait is over… crane finally installed for this (stalled) project. More than a thousand residential units in conjoined towers of 68 and 44 storeys. @216 metres this project is just outside the “Canada's 10 Tallest U/C”.

Just one more tower over 200 meters needs to start, and we'll be at 40 over the 200 meter mark, built or under construction.

If someone asked me 20 years ago, I'd say I'd be shocked and impressed if there were 40 over 152m.

Back in the day, when I was big into this site, Houston had 17 to 20 towers over 200 meters and Toronto had 10 or 11, and I didn't think we would ever pass them, the gap was so big.

But here we are. Insane.

Can you imagine the response if someone suggested Toronto having this many 500 footers 20 years ago across SSP and World Skyscrapers? The Americans couldn't believe Toronto had more 12 storey towers than Chicago. Remember Emporis' Vancouver description saying Toronto has the tallest but, Vancouver has the most high rises. Than the Aussies got into the game with Melbourne and Sydney booming in 150 metre construction and Toronto sitting on 10 built and one under construction.

I took these today of the One. I'm liking the glass and how it captures reflections at various segments.
