Thank you.

Perhaps the best late season ski day ever today at Lake Louise (50mins north).

Snow overnight meant a change in plans for today. Most areas at Sunshine had 5-10cm new with some areas nearly at the knee.

This winter I tried skiing and snowboarding for the 1st time in my life and it was incredible experience! Totally awesome! Also had extreme fun riding snowmobiles A little lifehack: if you want to enjoy riding a snowmobile (I am sure you do) then make sure you have high-quality tracks. I strongly recommend to have these ones.

7C now, but 2C at noon and a couple of cm overnight meant one last ski at Sunshine. Surprisingly decent snow for May 21.

Very close to Castlegar. I have heard about it.
I wonder how many protestors will show up to fight it like Jumbo lol.

They should invest in building a proper ski hill at Valemont instead of this.

No mention of Whistler's newest investment in here? Creekside getting a brand new 8-person high-speed gondola and Big Red Express being replaced with a 6-people high-speed chair. Both amazing improvements on the Whistler Mountain!

I wonder where the Big Red Express is getting relocated as it has been incredibly reliable and fast. I wish they would add it to run next to Emerald Express to fix the bottleneck there.

I also wish that they would begin opening more area on Whistler mountain as the masterplan calls for.

Hopefully the creekside replacement won't end up being a total CF like blackcomb's gondola from the upper village.

Watching ski resorts being proposed and fail for that tiny village is a sick side hobby of mine. So far the count is up to 5! 1-5 Mile Road on Mt McKirdy which was the site of an old skiing tow-rope in the 1950's 2-Canoe Mountain and the ill-fated gondola/resort project south of town known as their version of Patscherkofel, 3-Crystal Ridge SW of town which has limited snowmobile sledding and heli-skiing down some pretty deep logging cuts 4-Premier Range resort from Oberti which is the main project and then 5-the community ski hill the locals want to build connected but below Premier Range creating a super-resort with a ski-out run to town... Or at least closer to town since it would drop down to near the airport is...

I still plan on moving there one day too, at least part time, because it's still the last untapped ski market in the Americas basically... And the fact that its only and hour from Alberta and home helps... Although from East Edmonton it's like 5.5h but a hell of a road trip to any major resort of note from that distance!

Snow is just starting to hit our region's highest mountains including Whitewater and Red Mountain.

Sun Peaks was busy on opening day yesterday with only 2 chairs open. Nothing above mid mountain was spinning. Pumped for the season to be underway!

Sunshine closed due to avalanche/snow/access issues.

Louise too much snow.

Headed to Nakiska for limited runs but amazing snow (13cm overnight).
