He's about as ignorant as it gets on these boards.

After all, he's backing Mike Nickel. Need I say more

Does Jason Kenney have no shame at all?

How dare he embarrass all Albertans – indeed all Canadians – indigenous and non-indigenous alike by using an orange T-shirt and Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a deflection from his [non]performance in keeping our health care system from collapsing completely?

Starting his COVID update by declaring September 30 as an opportunity for Albertans to pause and remember the tragedy at the of the day meant to do exactly that instead of in time for it to be used as that? “Lest we forget” indeed Jason Kenney.

I've numbed myself to his incompetence. He truly can't get any worse, right. right. fuckkkkkkkkkkkk.

And that the back bench have kept quiet is more infuriating.

was at another funeral yesterday, Not Covid related. the funeral home back loading dock door was open. there were 4 casks sitting there and they were delivering another. that was not including the urns for the 3 funerals planned for that day.

The anti vax are pushing me to the point that if you are not vaxed why are you going for medical help when you get the virus.

I also feel that this government should be held accountable for the ineptitude and deaths that could have been prevented.

I don't expect this gov can or do do anything now that can help.

This 100%

My wife is a nurse at the Alex, not in the ICU, but she has acquaintances that are and the stories of verbal abuse and COVID denial are heartbreaking.

This whole anti-vax and COVID conspiracy nonsense always makes me think of the NOFX song "The Idiots are Taking Over"

To quote a line: "The benevolent and wise are being thwarted, ostracized, what a bummer
The world keeps getting dumber
Insensitivity is standard and faith is being fancied over reason"

Had a friend tell me yesterday that she needed some new blinds installed at her place. She booked an appointment with a firm, as an aside she though she should ask if they were vaxed since they were coming to her house. The woman said no, Friend asked not even one shot. well the sales rep went into a tirade saying she had no right to ask a private thing and she was not going to get vaxed until it was safe. Friend is still looking for a company for blinds.

Friend's comment was she was more concerned about liability if the person came to her place then tested positive to Covid. would this sales person sue her.

My song pick of the week. which is becoming my Friday song.

Reel Big Fish,,, "Everyone Else is an Asshole".

Isn't the death rate for those who do catch COVID-19 at least 1%? And then there's another 10% who suffer from long Covid. It's like playing Russian Roulette.

Clearly you didn't spend 6 years working in our fair cities shittiest casino like yours truly! Even with the building literally on fire most people will always refuse to take things seriously until it's too late or at the very least dangerous... denial, delay or destract. The 3D tactics of all idiots everywhere.

As soon as you see most people only answer reality with these three tactics you'll either be set free from expectations or horribly frustrated and depressed... Been on both sides of that debate my friends...

92 per cent of City staff now vaccinated
October 28, 2021

As of October 31, all City of Edmonton employees are required to have received their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as per the City’s vaccination policy, and in keeping with the City’s strong commitment to health and safety.

“From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City’s top priority has and continues to be the safety of our employees and Edmontonians. As one of Alberta’s largest employers and as a municipal government, we have a responsibility to model the behaviour we are asking of our community,” said Cyndil Taylor, Branch Manager, Workforce Safety and Employee Health. “We are pleased to report that 92 per cent of City staff are now at least partially or fully vaccinated, and the number is rising. We will continue to support employees in complying with our vaccination policy.”

Employees who have not provided proof they are fully vaccinated must comply with rapid testing effective November 1.

As of October 27, across the organization, 88 per cent of City staff are fully vaccinated and four per cent are partially vaccinated, which is about 92 per cent of the workforce.

The City is taking the steps necessary to keep Edmontonians safe and the services they rely on running as smoothly and safely as possible during the implementation of this policy. Most services across the City are not seeing changes to service levels, including Fire Rescue Services. As of November 1, bus service frequency will be reduced on some routes temporarily and work is underway to prepare transit riders for these temporary adjustments. More than 97 per cent of bus service will be unaffected and no changes will be made to LRT, paratransit, regional or on-demand service.

“We are grateful for the support we continue to receive from transit riders and your ongoing role in keeping yourselves and others safe while in the transit system. We want to assure you these changes are temporary and transit is safe and reliable, as it has been since before COVID-19 began, throughout the past year and a half, and as it will continue to be in the future,” said Carrie Hotton-MacDonald, Branch Manager, Edmonton Transit Service.

Starting November 1, transit riders are strongly encouraged to plan their trip ahead of time using trip planning tools. A full schedule of adjusted routes will be available at edmonton.ca/TransitAlerts.

The COVID-19 vaccination policy, in addition to other workplace control measures, such as physical distancing, capacity limits and the mask bylaw, are in place to do our part in reducing the spread of COVID-19 during this critical time in our efforts to end the pandemic.

Can we make this graphic an internet forum sticky? Cuz seriously it needs to be in place at all times! The only way to elevate debate to notice what makes parts of it crappy...

Alberta Government
@YourAlberta

Effective immediately, indoor social gatherings:
Remain limited to 10 people (no limit on children under 18)
Are no longer limited to two households
Are permitted for both vaccinated and unvaccinated Albertans

yes!!!

best christmas ever!!!

according to the premier, "we have to use every possible tool at our disposal to limit spread of the virus".

except, of course, some of the measures we were forced to implement to claw back our health system form the best summer ever's fourth wave.

because we don't really need to be quite as vigilant socializing with unvaccinated albertans in the face of an alarmingly more transmissible variant do we?

I agree with your comments. And UCP are setting the stage for a collapse of the acute care hospital system. The next election can’t come soon enough.
