The steel on this is going up very fast now that the complex lower stories are done. Both tower cranes and multiple crews working.
It's already up to the 9th floor in places.

You can tell this is a medical building.
Very complex, intricate metal work from the get go.

Yeah, what's up with that? Sounds as if someone just moved here--or is posting or editing--from California.

I worked with a CA transplant who always used to say, "the 76."

I like the photos. Whenever I'm reading these threads, I'm always thinking "OK, but how would this project look if you took a picture of it from space with a potato?"

That's really just a Southern California thing. People outside of the greater LA area don't add "the" in front of their freeway numbers. You would never hear someone from San Francisco refer to I-280 as "The 280". They would say "I-280" or just "280". It's really just us uber-annoying Angelenos that do that...

I like being informative. And this is news for people all around the world, and it's where the photo was taken, so that's why I insert that there. Would be better than saying "the highway"

Or, you could just say "I-95" without "the" in front of it, like the rest of us who don't live in Southern California.

SNL even lampooned the Southern California usage of "the" in front of highway numbers, e.g., "the I-10," in its series of daytime soap parodies called . . . . . wait for it . . . . . . . "The Californians."

Yo, shut the heck up. You bring no substance to this forum, scram. Without TK, and a couple others, we’d have no pics.

Deep breaths, man. Ribbing about regional dialects is about as light as you can get.

Excuse me, but I DO occasionally post construction and development photos and renderings, as well as articles and substantive comments about the same, on this forum. And as Justin7 points out, my--and others'--gentle ribbing here about a quirk of regional dialect hardly merits the invective you dished out. So with all due respect, I will neither "shut the heck up" nor "scram."
