From the vantage of the photographer here, it might poke out just above 300N Michigan ever so slightly. Wacker moves slightly south as it nears DuSable/LSD. I assume Site I is also going to be slightly thicker than St. Regis. I don't think you'll see much of it from down along the Riverwalk west of Michigan Ave.

Yeah, I agree - bKL/Thomas Kerwin are not really great designers, sadly.

Great set SolarWind

Although now, looking at these pics, I am even more disappointed that the tower portion isn't flush with the streetwall.

Yes but it is already mostly blocked by it - just now by a building with a compromised design to boot.

Glass going up on the west side. Looks like it will have the white strips on this side which I think look good. I think it will fit into this view well. Not many places in the world where you can get a variety of buildings like this packed together.

Looks good and slender from that last angle Solar. The slot on this one also looks to be turning out nice. Usually I'm not a huge fan of these sliced glass block towers, but this one is pretty slick.

Regardless of what you think of the design, this has got to be one of the most intensely used blocks in the city. Hotels everywhere!

I do now, that I live close to it. My logic this spring was basically "I need to get a dental exam to go to Greenland ASAP. What dentist within a block or two of where I live has an appointment available this week." And it was fine enough that I went back for another cleaning yesterday...
