This will be a nice addition....I always thought however this was to be 950+ feet! This would have been a great local for something that tall. Chicago has built a considerable amount of office space in the last 5 years or so.... just wondering if that had something to do with the
height reduction?

The height of this tower has been discussed ad naseum on the boards, but the short story is that the developer cut out a hotel that was in the original concepts for what is now named Salesforce Tower. If the hotel had been included, it surely would have eclipsed 950 feet and might have gone past 1,000 feet. As is, it will be office-only. Great location, good design, good height, kind of an 8/10 overall.

I remember reading that the original "mixed-use" concept also included for-sale luxury condos too?

Regular winter weather doesn't slow things down too much, but there are usually some days lost when old man winter bites hardest in any given winter.

Given how long they spent in the ground for the east tower, that seems unlikely to me, but I don't know the actual construction schedule.

What a beautiful crane. I'm already sad that it won't be there forever. Also, What a shot!

I found these visualizations on Yimby and thought they were pretty cool, highlighting the completed Wolf Point once Salesforce is done (bonus as well as the very massive BoA building on Wacker):

Am I just imagining things or are there a lot of buildings going up in several cities that are all resembling one another? This one resemble 110 Wacker doesn't it? Same height a little narrower though. Aside from that it's a nice building....another 100 feet would be OK!
