Nice pics of Brossard, thanks.
Here is a video that shows another face of that suburb.

Brossard is growing like SimCity 2000.

there's repetition.... and then there is Brossard level repetition.. yikes.. that is not a good a very look. Those red/yellow apartment blocks in the Video link in particular look like they're straight out of North Korea...it's just mass housing. i'm sure some of the homes are really lovely but eeek.. Thanks for sharing though.. i've often wondered what this suburb looked like.

Typical car oriented multi family in North America and inspired North American suburbs around the world. (thinking Middle East) North Korea wouldn't need all that parking and doubt the average worker would live in a community with such a low density.

The Saint Laurent skyline must be close to full build out

Le Plateau in Gatineau, between Hull and Aylmer. Not a skyline per se, but good density near the future Tramway.

Surrey's the real under-the-radar skyline that no one pays attention to. It's poised to explode in the next decade.

You won't believe me but the yellow-ish buildings are suppose to be inspired by London, UK. The name of this development was ''Les portes de Londres''.

Yup I can see it looking like Calgary's one day.

400 skyscrapers and high rises vs 40 skyscrapers and high rises

It would need at least 150 towers to give the impression of the scale and density of Calgary's skyline. Surrey is booming on the tower front after years of false starts. It's still a handiful of completions per year.

there are 10 under construction that will help by at least 2024. Depending where you view it from the Surrey skyline can look sparse or very dense. From the north such as this pic it looks dense, so basically viewed from Coquitlam you get a dense feeling, from anywhere else it looks a little underwhleming.

Surrey has a long long way to go, but it is finally moving in the right direction and somewhat quickly. It will never be Calgary, just not enough office demand, but I think a more appropriate goal would be Edmonton, with a lot of residential in a linear set up with a few taller buildings adding visual interest.

Ya fat office towers aren't our style you're right.
And I think Burnaby will have 3 Edmonton skylines one day.
Surrey having just one big skyline might have the number of towers Calgary has one day.

I wonder if Fleetwood will develop a skyline, there are some tower proposals and a lot of properties are being assembled for sale right now, many are already fenced off. I could see the site at 152 and Fraser Hwy, where the Safeway and Shoppers DM are being redeveloped into a north road style development with towers and retail.

Yesterday, from my camera

I took the following yesterday atop the Centennial Park hill. This is Mississauga's skyline....it doesn't look half bad from here, minus the haze which really shows in this image (and the un-editted second image):

So many skyline shots of so many Ontario cities are marred by those ubiquitous and hideous power pylons.
