I don't have time to dig too much, but the only thing I found was this article which shows a station a bit north - by the post office block, I think.

From what I remember, this is accurate. The link you posted even shows the station entrance in 4th street. It's possible that there may be room for a bus lane or whatnot, but I don't think so.

At any rate, 4th will be a pedestrian promenade from Republic Square all the way east to the current rail stop by the convention center. I imagine the more detailed info/diagrams can still be found in the transportation thread.

I have also not heard 4th will be converting to a full promenade especially not through the entirety of it's length through DT. Where are any articles/ news stories on this?

https://www.kxan.com/news/local/aust...nt-4th-street/

Bookended by Republic and Brush squares and topped by the Texas Capitol grounds to the north, Fourth Street preliminary design concepts teased Tuesday envisioned a promenade-like streetscape with outdoor cafe seating, pedestrian and bike-centric sidewalks and lanes, as well as room for buses on the roadway.
Okay. So not a full promenade, but..."pedestrian dominant", "promenade-like" streetscape. Split hairs over my wording if you must. Basically, vehicles would really only be able to access drop off zones or whatnot. It sounds like there may be some bus traffic. I didn't recall that part.

This is the best source of information on what was being considered as of last December. Due to the access needs of adjacent properties, it is likely 4th Street will resemble 2nd Street more than the 16th Street Mall in Denver. Of course, that may change as they get further in design.

Early morning - They brought in lights and had the ironworkers working in the central core before 5:30

3rd Crane base just arrived

Digging a trench on the 3rd street side in line with the street cut they did several weeks ago

Thanks for the info on 4th, I had heard they were going to redo the street but I envisioned something more in line with 2nd. Will be interesting how it ends up being.

Seconded. It'll be fun to see this area transform with this tower and the metro lines, for sure.

Form walls on East and South braced. Form walls on North being installed.

Starting on elevated rebar level at top of piers

New conduit work along Guadalupe in trench above and left of the 3rd crane base

I'll be out of town till the 31st, so no more updates for me for 2 weeks. Somebody post a pic of the mat pour if you can.

They’re debating who’s going to cover 360_Ray’s updates while he’s out of town.

I guess I'll fill in for 360 until he gets back. Took this today, looks like the core is going vertical. I'll let the picture speak for itself though.

Nice. That's the opposite perspective from 360_Ray.

Benefits of having someone at Hobby and the 360 condos. Unfortunately for me, as I’ve said before, Hobby is emptying out so I’ll take one last photo on September 1 from that prospective. Probably one of the last prospective photos from that view until whatever takes its place gets built
