I was by the site yesterday after a project scout. Having my camera with me, I made this two-frame vertical panorama. A LOT of digital perspective control was necessary to get nice vertical parallels even with my tilt-shift lens. This thing is going to feel MASSIVE once it reaches full height.

For those of you who like to see how the sausage is made, here are some before shots. The left and center frames were stitched together to make the right frame, which I then digitally perspective controlled _ edited to make the final image

So far my only criticism is that shorter retail base that will contain the Whole Foods.

It would have benefited from a bit more texture. It kind of looks like something from the 80s

^ Good observation. Yes, it does look like one of those plain-looking office buildings and malls that were popping up worldwide a few decades ago.

Beginning to rise above other River North towers when viewed from the SE.

^ That nearby white building is the 647' 55 East Erie. One Chicago will be 49.8% taller than it.

awesome shots, Nick.

the WH base would look sweet if it continued with the neo-deco theme and coloring of tower A, maybe thicker and more exaggerated at the top (thinking like 300 N LaSalle or Superior House)

I think it will look better with the rest of the fins and the retail signage. I think there will be some improvements in the finished product.

Being so reflective, it appears in the photo that the texture/interest will come from the buildings and church across the street

Other sides of it have more texture. Just this corner is that flat

Yeah I'm pretty sure there's more texture and stuff coming.

Gr333n was similar, it was a really boring glass box until very late in the construction, then one day it suddenly became awesome.... the fins went up in only 1-2 weeks for that whole building I think.

Thanks Pilsenarch! Good to be here I do not know Mr. Downtown. Does he have a similar business to me? I'm across the pond in Holland, Michigan area. I'm truly not here for the sales, but I do offer old Chicago maps printed on tear proof material I've been on the hunt for retailers in Chicagoland to wholesale to...

Certainly has a different vibe with the frosted/fritted finish. Reminds me a lot of the garage ay 727 Madison.
