Nice shots! Is the S8100 also called S1000fd? I'm looking for a smaller cary-around camera with a good zoom.

No, my model is the S8100fd. The S1000fd is a step below and does not have image stabilization.

Here is a link to a bran new review of the S8100fd

Thank you for the information! I was about to purchase the 1000fd but will hold off till I look around some more. Its confusing when they say "picture stabilization" in the description.

Bravern updates

These pictures are a couple of days old. The Bravern office towers are now both topped off.

Bravern Residences will rise to 33 stories each

Does anyone know of any plans for Bellevue to jettison its height limit of around 450 to 500 feet? Also, what was the justification for imposing this limit? It seems to me that as Bellevue continues to grow--as it will--there will be an even greater density in mid-rise skyscrapers, perhaps eventually approaching that of Vancouver, BC. BTW, those pictures were phenominal! Keep it up.

No, at least not any formal discussions.

It's 450'.

Height limits are everywhere in this region. The justification is many people's aversion to anything taller than what's already there.

450' isn't too bad for a suburban downtown. But as Bellevue grows it seems like at least 600' is warranted.

Downtown Vancouver? Not any time soon. It would take quite a few booms like the current one, as well as a large geographic expansion of the highrise district, for DT Bellevue to even get in the neighborhood. But it's on the way to becoming one of the leading suburban downtowns in NA in terms of size and cohesiveness.

Frenchie, welcome to the forum, but you need a little help posting your pics.

I figured out how to view your flickr pics. Try tinypic.com It's easier to post the pics. Your shot of the top of the Bellevue Towers is very good. The two guys walking 43 floors up must have Mohican blood in their family history.
