Hate to break it to ya, but in the non-google definition real world that’s not how it works. I don’t think the “government” is going to physically remove bricks to make sure the weather barrier was done correctly. This is a GC issue.

Lol what a silly argument. There could be a number of issues that caused the leaks that we just don't know the details of, but whatever the case it is ultimately the GC who is responsible.

Nobody said that the GC isn't responsible for the shoddy work. But the city could have stopped the shoddy work during construction inspections AND IF the specific details that are shoddy are not being inspected by the city AT ALL during construction, then that is a choice the city is making to forgo which they clearly should not be forgoing. Does this stuff not count as building envelope leakage? That's specifically covered in our building inspections:

In other words, the buck stops with the city and the city is choosing to ignore the bucks that should stop with them. It would be nice to have someone actually listed to what I'm saying, rather than listen to what they THINK I am saying. Stop putting your heads in the sand like ostriches.
