Related Group, BH Group propose apartments at Aventura office building

The developers purchased the Aventura View office building at 2999 N.E. 191st St. for $51 million in July 2022. The 4-acre site currently has a 10-story, 107,000-square-foot office building.
On Feb. 23, the City Commission held a workshop to hear the plans by the Related Group and BH Group to redevelop the parking lot with a 26-story tower containing 308 apartments and some ground-floor retail space. It’s called Icon Aventura, after the Related Group’s luxury rental brand. Mayor Howard Weinberg said the commission agreed unanimously for city staff to work with the developer on bringing these plans forward so they can be considered at a future commission meeting.
