That was my impression a week ago too... Standing in River North, this thing just imposes itself on you in a great way. I love it.

A LOT more photos - and an article UrbanizeChicago

I love the raw top down tenant's garage - valet only so no need for finishing or obfuscation.

Mr. J's is still around after all these years!!!! I left in 2006, and I am glad they are still around!!! Don't think I could eat their burger with everything and fries now - trying to lose some weight.

True, but it's been so fun watching this thing creep up to it's final height over the last few weeks. Maybe I am off, but I really feel like it's the perfect height. It's a beast, but it's not overpowering, and compliments the skyline so well. Seeing it tower over River North again today during a Lunch walk was amazing to see in person.

The core has topped out, but the final structural height will go higher. I can't find a more recent schematic, but based on this image from early 2018, the decorative top would rise ~30 feet above the roof slab:

The height was reduced from 1011 to 969 as you man know, but you're probably right in that there will be about 30 ft left to look forward to from it's current state visually.

Are those balconies on the corners? Or is it just not finished there yet?

Massive impact from the northwest side. Also adds to the depth of the skyline from the south lakeshore.

31st Street Beach view hits the mark

Have we seen a view down Clybourn yet that includes the Moody towers? I believe the tallest two will sit right in front of One Chicago. I'm not entirely sure you'll even be able to see it from where iLeunamme took those pics. Might even block the view of St Regis too.

Yes this line of sight will likely be blocked occluding both Vista and OCS. I drew a line of sight down Clyborn to the 78 floor OCS building.

Isn't this building supposed to have a plaza with a water feature and that beautiful sidewalk landscaping that Chicago is famous for?

P.S.: I saw the renderings for the landscaping, etc. in the first post. It will look stunning.
