thanks, it's so beautiful there! But a few years ago if saw one more of those t-shirts that say "Ithaca Is Gorges" I thought I would go ballistic--lol (every so often I still see one)

I think that was an off-the-rack shirt they sold at the Gap. That's probably why you saw it so much. It's kind of like how those Sriracha Rooster sauce T-shirts are everywhere these days because they're sold at Target.

Anyway, great pics! It's hard to think of a town of that size anywhere that has as much life and sophistication.

Beautiful place. Nice mix of charming urban and relaxing nature. Except for the different trees and type of rock, it reminds me a lot of our Texas Hill Country around the Highland Lakes.

I'm going to Ithaca for the first time this weekend so I pulled up a classic Ex-Ithacan thread to whet my appetite. I can't wait to see the city but it also makes me sad to remember our amazing SSP friend Ex-Ith. RIP, i'm finally coming to your town my man! Thanks for sparking my interest in it all those years ago...

^ Is he gone? Oh Lord, I'm saying a payer for him.
Hopefully he feels great across the universe, free from his body and burden, now.
That's the way I like to think of death, but thankfully, we're clueless about it.
If it really was like an endless orgasm in infinity, people would all commit suicide like cowards to enjoy it sooner.
That would be grim.

Really nice. It's really embedded in a forest.

This is such a great thread. I'm really glad he was able to go back for a visit. You can tell how much he knew the place and loved it. He did such a great job of covering it.
