DORAL | Doral International Towers | 443 x 4 FT | 42 x 4 FLOORS

Plans Filed For 443-Foot Towers At Trump Doral, ‘Most Exciting Development In The Country’
https://www.thenextmiami.com/plans-f...n-the-country/

Quote:
Former President Donald Trump has announced plans for a major real estate project on his property at Doral – and it could come in the form of high-rise buildings.
According to a statement released yesterday, Trump will be submitting plans for a new development at Doral that includes multiple phases.

According to Federal Aviation Administration records, an application was filed on January 13 to build at least one tower at Trump Doral that will rise 443 feet above ground, or 450 feet above sea level.
Structure names submitted with the FAA application hint there could be as many as four new towers in the current submission, all at the same 443-foot height.
Trump Files Plans To Build Doral International Towers, Will Have Four 42-Story Buildings

Quote:
A company controlled by President Donald Trump has filed plans to build a massive mixed-use project called Doral International Towers, according to documents obtained by The Next Miami.
According to a letter from Trump’s attorney, the project is planned to include:

2,222 residential units
462,825 square feet of Class-A office
470 hotel units
81,675 square feet of retail
Increased residential density on the site could also be obtained by building workforce housing, documents submitted to the city show.

In a statement last week, Trump said that the new project would be built in phases, and could be “perhaps the most exciting development in the Country.”

Amongst other things (the big gorilla in the room since we can't get political), Not going to happen, it's right on a flight path for MIA's diagonal runway. If anything they're probably testing the waters for what can be approved.

I'm sure this will have a chance, just not at this height. 443 ft is too tall for this area. If it's approved at this height something must've changed. This could go a lot of ways, hence the thread.

I'm not going to speak his name so I'll just say they. Doral is a money losing golf course in a weird location. They would be better off bulldozing the whole course and building a residential or mixed use community with structures under 8-10 floors.

‘Most Exciting Development In The Country’ what? Who was delusional enough to write this? Not even the most exciting development in 50 miles.

‘Most Exciting Development In The Country’ gives off the same vibes when developers in Miami all use the word 'iconic' because most of the time it's never iconic, and in this case, it isn't the most exciting development in the country. Maybe in Doral, but not the country.

And even then, there are still lots of other developments in the works for Miami Dade that are FAR more exciting than some random 40 story condo towers on the edge of a golf course in the middle of a bunch of warehouses.

The unrelentingly stupid hyperbole never ends with that one.

Here is where he wants to build them. Right below the "Trump National Doral" label. At the southern edge of the collection of pink buildings. Right along the runway landing zone for MIA a couple of miles away:

Besides this development is another development called Downtown Doral.

They're planning on more towers.

Is your typo ironic?

Does anybody have a diagram as to exactly where the 4 towers are going to be built? Also, are the towers going to impede the flight paths to and from MIA? And are the 4 towers going to be the same height as original proposed? I love the proposals and didn't really think that you'd build so high nearby such a major airport such as MIA. If this project goes through, then I could see similar projects like Doral Int'l pop up in not just Doral, but in cities such as Hialeah, where flight paths don't really pass through Hialeah since it's practically impossible to takeoff or land from MIA through Hialeah since there's no flight paths that go through Hialeah from MIA since 3 of the runways run E-W along Doral and Miami and not Hialeah as well as the diagonal runway, which also runs through Doral and Miami. Let's hope that the FAA approves this project because it looks like the location doesn't really impede the flight paths and I'm optimistic to seeing Doral grow into a major city like Hialeah.

They will be built near Downtown Doral, apologies for the rough outline:

Say what you want about everything else related to this proposal. I just get excited to see a bunch of surface parking lots ripped up.
