A high-quality tower of good-but-not-great height in a highly visible location. Overall, a big win for Chicago.

Bravo! Awesome images of stuff and views you don't get to see everyday. Never seen the roof of the Merchandise Mart for example. Pretty cool. Gracias.

My guess would be that it's an elevator housing, I'm almost positive that any new riverwalk built, private or pubic has to be ADA compliant.

Great images! Very impressive building and construction. That crown is a pleasant surprise. The scalloped exterior gives the building an added sculptural feel. Nice!

please don't kill me for making this connection but does the stripy crown remind ANYONE else of the silver and blue pattern on the Thompson Center?

Looks like the white sections crown wont be back-lit from those site photos. Hopefully they will be up-lit?

There will be a green roof on the last north and south setbacks where there will be lights directed at the crown. Should look sharp.

A friend sent me this. Last CW unit outside of the skip hoist and the tower crane's supports

Bonus of my home town. In my opinion, one of the best skylines in the world. I don't know who took it but my guess would be David DiCello. He is Pittsburgh's version of Nick. Go follow him.

The curved elements in the crown are very surprising. For a building that relies on a linear and rectilinear language for its overall architecture and detailing, I like the subtle softening with these, especially since you basically need binoculars to see them.

I know I'm a few days late on this and it's not much of a building shot but we have our final look of the western top of the building.
