Wow the Thompson covers up all our buildings, including the future 32 story condo from this view.

The penthouse with those dormers would make a great Skyscraper Page SA clubhouse once it's renovated into apartments. Just saying.

Otherwise it's just going to go to some evil villain.

With this building expected to be transitioned into residential I suspect those lights will be turned off except for the green top.

Looking out my apartment window and seeing a gargoyle is not an amenity I knew I would consider essential, but here we are.

That'll be a shame. I've always liked this building lit up especially with the more amber color. I miss the radio antenna too. Flag fits the aesthetic more but it looked way more menacing with the antenna. No way that thing was only 150 ft either.

IDK, the seasonal lighting has become so iconic the last few years I'll be pretty shocked if they give that up. If I was the landlord I'd sooner just buy blackout curtains for everyone.

People pay for the view. That doesn't end when the sun goes down. There may be a way around it, but I'll be surprised if they get turned into condos and the lights stay on.

Chasing nostalgia here, but turning those off would REALLY mess with the iconic skyline. Property mgmt would be smart to just invest in black out curtains.

I'm sure they could also dim them slightly and keep the amber glow. It's my favorite tower in TX.

Hey everyone,
There's this really neat drone channel on YouTube I've followed for a little while that does 1 hour+ long videos over various cities and I didn't even realize they just recently flew all over San Antonio and Austin. I was so impressed by the scope / production of the video I knew I had to at least share the link. From the looks of it a lot of this footage was shot about 1-2 months ago if I had to guess.

And here's their channel for crediting purposes:
