Preface: I am fully in support of the Squamish Nation capitalizing on their land holdings and I am fully in support of crucial housing being built.
However, I find it funny how it seems to me like people will rail on developers and landlords in Vancouver for being evil leeches and we need ten thousand regulations to keep their greedy plans regulated, but as soon as any First Nations does the same thing people bring out their most neoliberal positions in defense of them. "It's their land, they can do whatever they please with their own property, land rights are paramount, there are no externalities, they're
actually providing a service to us etc. etc."
At least Price is consistent, as much as I disagree with him.
I, for one, welcome our neoliberal FN brothers and sisters.
