Where can I find metrics for buildings in different cities based on year?

Is there any software that provides visibility on buildings in different cities?

For example, what if I want to filter all cities (or even cities in one or more countries) based on a date range and see completed or under construction buildings (maybe even filter based on height too).

Perhaps The database button at the top of the page? Understand the available data won't be complete. There's no such thing as a completed one stop shop for buildings around the world.

Wow - I am surprised that no one has built a database that makes it easy to search for this type of information.

You can do a lot of this stuff in the diagrams page but not every city has it comprehensively updated. It's a great comparison tool though, especially for those that keep up.

For instance, here are screenshots of comparisons I made with Vancouver and various large US cities. The pages show 25 per page, can be sorted different ways, and searched by cities/states/countries by year, status, and even building type.
