For whatever reason, the vids don't pop up when I use the YouTube code, I'll just leave the link. But this is pretty hilarious lol.

When you post Youtube videos here, you need to do the code. Note: I left that last bracket away from the code so that it wouldn't be active. When you move it up against the e in Youtube, you get an active code. You also only need a portion of the Youtube link to post between those codes.

In every Youtube link, you only need the part after the equal sign. The part in bold is what you need.

So, yeah, it rained today. I'm not sure where all since I was in Dripping Springs this afternoon where it actually rained pretty hard for about 30 minutes complete with some loud cracking thunder and lightning.

Google earth for Austin is updated once again, it's barely behind anymore. The domain area is still stuck in 2019-2020 as they haven't updated that imagery yet.

I have January 2022 for the Domain on Google Earth - same for downtown. If yours doesn't automatically update, you can always toggle the date for imagery in the corner.

I took this back in April of 2021. It is crazy how much the skyline has changed in less than a year and a half.

Local photographer captures gripping photos of downtown Austin during flood

https://austin.culturemap.com/news/c...flood/#slide=0

er a summer of record-breaking heat, the Austin area received as much as 3.73 inches of rain on August 22, 2022. Local artist photographer Leonid Furmansky headed to downtown Austin to capture arresting photos of rising flood waters.

"I wanted to capture still images while showing the rapid rate of the flood. I took long exposure shots to show the direction of the flow of the water and the lines it created. I took images with buildings covering the sky to show the juxtaposition between nature and urban landscape," Furmansky says. "I was surprised by the candid moments with humans and the creek: In one image, a rain-soaked man sits on the edge of the rock beds; in another, a man in a suit looking out the window of a downtown skyscraper. I made these images because we live in a brand new city with few struggles: To see some kind of natural disaster on even a small scale proves that even today's technology and modern design can't keep up with Mother Nature."

Barton Springs is the heart of Austin. Drone footage shows how magical the iconic pool is.

https://www.statesman.com/videos/lif...ol/7894858001/

We flew over Barton Springs at sunrise and the results were magical.
